Overview


The NextAxiom hyperService Platform creates a virtualization layer on top of an organization's IT software stack where functions from different business applications and systems, including middleware,  look and combine as if they belonged to a single, location-transparent application running inside of an elastic virtual machine – the hyperService Virtual Machine (SVM).  This virtual machine is multi-tenant and metered with high-performance in-memory functionality that automatically scale.   This radically simplifies software integration and application development and unlocks the functionality and information trapped in application silos for easy reuse with new user experiences such as enterprise mobility and in new computing environments such as the Cloud.

The NextAxiom hyperService Platform provides a general-purpose, metadata-driven programming environment layered on top of existing applications and system functionality that integrates out-of-the-box to any User Experience platform through Web Services Standards and provides an automatic Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). Enterprise Software Unification – This is the end result of the incremental application of the hyperService Platform whereby functions from all existing heterogeneous applications and systems are available in a single, managed homogenous environment as if they belonged to a single system. Enterprise Integration – The hyperService Platform provides a different and simplified approach to application integration and system integration that is based on abstracting the functions of each application as a universal, in-memory building block at the lowest level of the stack. These in-memory building blocks are then graphically connected together to flow data from one application to another while easily applying the required integration logic in a homogenous environment. Each hyperService building block within a solution is automatically available as a Web Service operation to external applications. Composite Applications – With the hyperService Platform, creating a new composite application on top of multiple existing applications is as easy as programming on top of a single application. Process Automation – A hyperService-enabled application or system provides a set of hyperServices representing discrete business or system functions from the application. Applied Business Intelligence – The hyperService Platform is the perfect and much needed complement to your existing reporting and Business Intelligence platforms. It complements your BI/reporting environment in two ways: first it enables bi-directional, business level communication between your enterprise applications and your BI/reporting environment so decision makers can directly modify the backend systems when required. Furthermore, it enables automation of business logic when certain conditions are flagged by the BI tool.
