The PM Batch process permits a very simple and effectively control of which Predefines is processed using input from a spreadsheet of PMRQ numbers, Frequency Codes and/or Due Dates as applied to selected Predefines. The number of inputs is virtually unlimited with the use of Comma Separated Value (CSV) files or multiple spreadsheets. It is a simple, copy and paste process to provide the inputs to the PM Batch Update.
It is designed to do many Frequency Code and/or Due Date updates on the D081 Predefined Requirements Detail panel in minutes which would take hundreds of hours from Passport panels.
It will update to past Due Dates which cannot be done on the D081 Predefined Requirements Detail panel. This is a simple and easy method to fix Due Dates when they need to be restored to a past date. It enables updates to protected data on D081 Predefine Parameters with a past due date, which is prohibited in Passport panels.
It will update the Lead Time on the D081 Predefined Requirements Detail panel and calculate new Early Dates and Late Dates in the ECPMS (PMRq) table to apply changes made to the Lead Time, Percent Early and/or Percent Late changes on the X130 Frequency Code Maintenance panel. It will update the Early Dates, Late Dates on the ECPMS (PMRq) table and Early Dates, Due Dates and Late Dates to the current and future occurrences on the D082 Predefined Look Ahead panel from Frequency Int and/or Frequency UOM changes on the X130 Frequency Code Maintenance panel.
It resets the interval between the current and all future occurrences on the D082 Predefined Look Ahead panel to the new frequency settings made in the X130 Frequency Code Maintenance panel.
It will realign the future occurrence Due Dates on the D082 Predefined Look Ahead panel which has been corrupted by other Passport processes like completing the PM Work Order before its PM Early date.
It could be easily adapted to reset the PM Active, Auto Trigger and Auto Generate indicators on the D081 Predefined Requirements Detail panel to defaults like Passport does when a Model Work Order is changed on that panel.
In general, hundreds of updates that would take hundreds of hours in Passport, takes a few minutes with the PM Batch Update. It would be a valuable tool to large scale evolutions of Predefines, to large scale routine maintenance to maintain code standards and large scale pre-conditioning to assure predictable PM work order generation and forecasting.
