Job Description:

Great upside opportunity for an Enterprise Software Sales Executive in an emerging and innovative platform software company. Using our platform software we have created a set of Utility Sector solutions that includes: comprehensive Performance Improvement and Condition Reporting, Simplified Work Management, Mobile Approvals and Mobile Work Package Extensions. We have also created Packaged Integrations between asset management systems and other enterprise software applications such as SAP, Primavera, Documentum, Meridium, etc.

This is an individual contributor position and requires working from the San Francisco office or home office when not traveling. We are seeking an individual that can develop business opportunities in both new and our existing base of customers that includes major and mid-sized ($1B+) Utilities. The position calls for taking initiative to create sales opportunities and build a dedicated pipeline in a complex enterprise sales environment. The Enterprise Software Sales Executive will primarily sell company platform and solution licenses in the US and Canada. These licenses are big ticket items that frequently generate $1,000,000+ in revenue for each sales transaction. This position requires a combination of excellent "hunting" sales skills and the ability to qualify opportunities as early in the sales cycle as possible by navigating to the key decision makers.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Two years of inside sales or a demonstrated skill in creating and working opportunities via the phone.
  • History of selling high price point ($1MM+) software applications, platforms, and/or integrations.
  • History of meeting or exceeding an annual sales quota - especially to new customers.
  • Ability to set up face-to-face meetings and presentations with C/VP level prospects.
  • Ability to develop a strong sales pipeline through individual marketing activities including but not limited to cold calling, developing external referral sources, and marketing activities.
  • Presentation of proposed solution to prospects with the ability to convey the business value and competitive strengths of the solution.
  • Document in CRM system the results of prospecting, sales calls and meetings.
  • Maintain a high level of communication with management on sales activities.
  • Ability to set up face-to-face meetings and presentations with C/VP level prospects.
  • Travel up to 50% (not including local / day visits with customers and prospects).

Education & Skills Required

  • 5+ years of successful direct sales of technology or of a complex product/service.
  • Bachelor's or an advanced degree.
  • Strong closing skills in a complex sales environment.
  • A strong preference will be given to those with experience in selling enterprise software, SaaS, and/or Utility Industry sales.
